J. Marc Edwards, CTO, has 25 years of semiconductor component, Research-and-Design experience at IBM, Cisco Systems, and two co-founded, venture-backed, fabless semiconductor start-up companies. Mr. Edwards is a graduate-level, research-grade engineer and entrepreneur with deep-domain expertise in the semiconductor industry. Mr. Edwards has held principal engineering roles at both Cadence Design Systems and Synopsys, where his responsibilities focused upon enterprise semiconductor companies from a sales, support, marketing, and RnD role for the full spectrum of EDA software and services products. Mr. Edwards has worked in advanced technology leadership roles at both IBM and Cisco Systems, where he led product deployments of advanced technology architectures.

During work with EDA companies and MBA studies Marc identified design-to-release-manufacturing and workflow methodology as the next inflection point in the semiconductor supply chain. Marc's internet/networking background, enterprise architecture, software breadth, and business-strategy analytics helped him conceive Silicon Cloud as a semiconductor supply chain WorkFlow-as-a-Service and Digital-Rights-Management-as-a-Service.
